What do you strive for everyday? What inspires you and lifts you up when you feel low? What makes you smiles?
The situations we go through and the events we witness, knowingly or unknowingly, have a deep impact upon our lives. Everyday Almighty Allah's magnificent decree and perfect plan come into effect. However, if we only have a limited understanding of the relationship we should have with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) we may belittle seemingly 'simple' everyday occurrences.
Everyday, Almighty Allah chooses different servants to be blessed with the gift of guidance which manifests as an inclination to spirituality. However, we can choose whether or not we will experience this blessing. During the month of Ramadan in 2006, I was blessed with a realization that would mark the beginning of my journey towards Almighty Allah.
Are we then not to die? Except our former death, and are we not to be tormented? This indeed is the immense triumph. For the like of this, then, let the workers work! |
